It would be better if I knew the exact age. Yet I'm giving a broad idea.
There's a rule in the investment world. Subtract your age from 100. That much you should invest in equity and rest in other asset classes. Means if you are 18, subtract it by 100. It comes down to 82. You should invest 82% of your money into equity. And the rest 18% should be invested in real estate, gold, bonds, FD, post office schemes etc.
Also, your risk appetite matters. If you are aggressive then you should increase the equity percentage. Or vice versa.
However, as an equity guy, I'm very biased. If you ask me what would I do if I were a student then I would definitely invest 100% of my money into equity.
Only equity can make you wealthy. Be it through stock market or private funding, or through mutual fund, one should invest in equity.
You can open your demat account and start investing in the stock market. It's now very easy with a few clicks. You will get tons of videos on how to.
The main concerns should be which company, or mutual fund, how to choose those, how much to buy, how long to hold and when to buy/sell.
All these include your temperament. You will face frustration, anxiety, worry, fear and all. But you need to stick to your investment if it is well selected. Give it time to ripe. Have patience for long term wealth creation and be wealthy. Don't fall prey into quick gains.
Thanks
